This Privacy Policy explains how Sales Reps ("SalesReps", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when merchants install and use the Sales Reps app on Shopify (the "App") and when visitors use https://salesreps.app (the "Site").

1. Who we are

Sales Reps is a Shopify application that helps merchants manage sales representatives, assign orders, calculate commissions and bonuses, and track payouts. The App is available at salesreps.app and through the Shopify App Store.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App or Site, we may process:

• Shop and account data — Shopify shop domain, offline access token (stored securely to operate the App), and App subscription / billing status via Shopify Billing.
• Merchant-configured data — sales rep names, emails, tags, chart colors, commission groups and tiers, bonus rules, and payout-related records you create in the App.
• Order and product data from Shopify — order IDs, names, totals, shipping amounts, tags, line items, product tags, and related fields needed to assign commissions (using the scopes you approve at install).
• Customer association data — Shopify customer IDs and optional name/email you choose to link to a sales rep for auto-assignment suggestions.
• Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, request paths) used for security and troubleshooting.

We do not use the App to process Shopify customer payment card data. App charges are billed through Shopify Billing.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the App's features
• Authenticate your shop, sync order-related data you authorize, and calculate commissions, bonuses, and payouts
• Process App subscriptions through Shopify Billing
• Respond to support requests and maintain security
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information. We do not use merchant store data to contact your customers for our own marketing.

4. Sharing of information

We may share information with:

• Shopify — as required to run an embedded app, authenticate, and bill through Shopify's platform
• Service providers — such as hosting and database providers that process data only to run the App (for example, application hosting)
• Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain App data for as long as your shop has the App installed and as needed to provide the service. When you uninstall the App, we process Shopify's uninstall webhook and remove or deauthorize stored access for your shop. You may also contact us to request deletion of App data associated with your shop, subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricting access to systems that store shop credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your rights and choices

Merchants control what they enter into the App and which Shopify scopes they approve. You can uninstall the App at any time from the Shopify admin. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. To exercise those rights for data we hold about your shop, contact us using the details below.

8. International transfers

The App may be hosted in data centers outside your country. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our providers operate.

9. Children

The App and Site are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App or Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
